今日の軽井沢、１日中、小雨でした。この小雨が、木々の芽を膨らませるのだと思うと、ちょっとうれしい雨です。もみじの枝にもかわいいのが生えてきました。

It was rainy today. This rain will enrich the nature and trees will sprout very soon. Momiji leaves began to have these lovely buds.

毎年、この時期になると、別館あかねやさんの前に立派なお花が飾られます。このお花で、たくさんのお客様を温かくお迎えされています。旧軽井沢の名店の一つです。

Every year, Akaneya decorates beautiful flower at their entrance. With this flower, they welcome many guests. This is one of the most prestige shops in Kyu-Karuizawa.

一昨日ぐらいから、軽井沢の雰囲気がガラッと変わりました。ほとんどのお店がオープンし、人通りも多くなりました。

Since the day before yesterday, the mood of Karuizawa has become so different. Most of the shops open and lots of people are walking around.

旧軽井沢ロータリーの桜も咲いてきました。この桜が、シーズン到来の目印です！

Cherry blossom at Kyu-Karuizawa Rotary also started. This sakura is the sign of our season's beginning.

軽井沢の桜は、東京の１ヶ月遅れです。本日やっと、神宮寺のしだれ桜が三分咲きです！これから、ゴールデンウィークにかけて、満開になっていきます。

Sakura (cherry blossom) began blooming at Jinguji temple! It will be full bloom during Golden Week. What a good timing!!

旧軽井沢の魅力は、かわいいお店でのショッピングと、森の風そよぐ別荘地のお散歩。ついに、「旧軽井沢お散歩マップ」ができました！！

手描きのイラスト地図に、おすすめスポットやおすすめコースの入ったこの地図。つるや旅館の玄関にありますので、ぜひぜひ、お持ちになって、旧軽井沢お散歩を楽しんでくださいませ。

Two main attractions of Kyu-Karuizawa is shopping at lovely shops and walking around beautiful forest. We finally made Kyu-Karuizawa Walking map!! It comes with hand drawing maps and recommended spots and sources. We distribute at the entrance of Tsuruya, so please enjoy walking with this map. Currently, it's only in Japanese, but English version will be coming before summer.

旧軽井沢を散歩していると、いたるところに、こういう標識を見かけます。各通りに付けられた名前を感じながら歩くと、お散歩がもっと楽しくなります。

When you walk around Kyu-Karuizawa, you will find this kind of signs. It will help you where you are walking.

一つだけ膨らんだつぼみをつけた枝。ゴールデンウィークに向けて、木々たちも準備中です。

ここのところ、ちょっと天気の悪い旧軽井沢。霧がかかると、もはやどこかわからないですが、こちらは、お気持ちの道です。

These days, the weather is not so good in Karuizawa. Deep fog covers everything. This is Okimochi-no-michi, by the way.

今年も碓氷峠への赤いバスが走り始めました。つるや旅館の前をレトロな姿で颯爽と駆け抜けていきます。まだ、シャッターチャンスにめぐりあえず、こちらは去年の写真です。

The red bus began running to Usui Toge. I couldn't get a chance to shoot, so it's a photo from last year.

今シーズン初めてでしょうか。軽井沢らしい霧がかかりました。こちらは、おなじみ、ショー記念礼拝堂です。

Isn't it the first fog day in this season? We had beautiful one today. This is Shaw Memorial Church.

白糸の滝の方にはまだ雪が残っています。残雪ってなかなか溶けないものですね。

There are still remained snow around Shiraito Fall. It takes some more time to be gone.

いつでも沢山のお客様でにぎわっている川上庵さん。有頭エビがついた天せいろは、休日を豪華に演出してくれます。

Kawakami-An is always filled with lots of guests. Prawn with its head makes us so happy in holiday.

緑が生える前の白糸の滝は、何だか、水のかかる部分の苔がいっそう緑に見えます。雪解け水で水量が多く、これからのシーズンに向けてのわくわく感があります。

Shiraito Fall before green grows makes moss more green. More water comes from melted snow and looks exciting.

元祖、旧軽銀座の食べ歩きと言えば、やっぱりミカドコーヒーさんのモカソフト。昔から、変わらない味で、旧軽銀座を盛り上げてくれます。

Walking with eating on Kyu-Karuizawa is how you enjoy here. Mocha-Soft at Mikado Coffee is the classic. It brings the excitement to Kyu-Karuizawa with everlasting taste.

「ゆずり葉の頃」今日、試写会に行ってきました。女優の八千草薫さんが演じる女性が、自分の人生を振り返りながら、軽井沢の人々と出会い、心を通わせる、温かな雰囲気の映画です。実は、こちらの映画に出ている軽井沢の人々、本当に、軽井沢の人々がエキストラで出演しているのです。お店も本当のお店が使われています。軽井沢好きの方には、必見の映画です。もうすぐ、東京で公開予定なので、また情報が入りましたら、お知らせ致します。感動します。。。

This is the movie about Karuizawa. A lady recalled back her life and had communication with people in Karuizawa. Actually, the people in this movie are real local people living in Karuizawa. The shops in this movie are also real. It is coming to a theaters very soon!!

雪解け水のせいでしょうか、心なしか白糸の滝の水量が多いような気がしました。上の方の林は、まだまだ新緑には遠いようですが、苔は瑞々しい緑色をしています。

It may be caused by the melted snow that the water of Shiraito Fall is more than usual. The forest over the fall is still not green but the moss in the water is always green.

E7系という新しい長野新幹線あさまに乗ってきました！３月１５日から、一部のあさまがこちらの形になりました。ホームでわくわくしながら待っていると、この新しい車体がかっこよく登場。ドアが開くと中から「新しい」車内の香りがしてきました。

I tried on the grand new Shinkansen Asama, E7 Series. It started on March 15th. It was quite exciting to wait it coming. It smelled so new.

ピッカピカの車体は、空と土のようなデザインで、新しいながらも何だか素朴感があります。

長野新幹線の駅弁と言えば、やっぱり「峠の釜めし」。椅子の後ろにドリンクホルダーが付いたので、お弁当を広げて食べられます。

車内はこんな感じです。少し足下が広くなりました。そして、なんと、枕が上下に動かせるのです。

足下にはコンセントが設置されました。これで、携帯やパソコンを充電しながら移動できます。

というわけで、簡単に新しい新幹線のレポートでした。

２０１５年春には、金沢まで新幹線で行けるようになります。楽しみですね！

旧軽銀座を歩いていると、何だかかわいいオブジェクトに出会います。楽しげな顔が旧軽銀座をもっと楽しくしてくれます。

When you walk around Kyu-Karuizawa Main Street, you will see some lovely objects. Their lovely faces make the street happier.

まだ、葉が少ないからこそ見られる風景。林の奥にショー記念礼拝堂とそこを訪ねるカップルの姿が見えます。旧軽井沢には絵になる風景がたくさんあります。

It is something you can see when there is few leaves yet. A couple and Shaw Memorial Church seen from forest. There are lots of scenery that make you want to take a photo in Kyu-Karuizawa.

思い返せば、たった１ヶ月前の軽井沢は雪景色でした。その面影として、二手橋の下にはまだ雪が残っています。ここは、雪捨て場になっていました。

Thinking back on the scenery a month ago, it was a white world. Now, it's totally different, but we still have snow under the bridge where we used for snow disposal yard.

心地よい春の空気の中、お散歩をする方が増えてきました。自転車でサイクリングされている方もちらほら。外にいるだけで気持ちがいいです。

Feeling the comfortable spring air, people are enjoying walking and bike-riding. It's just so good to go outside.

今朝は、やけに冷えるなあと思って外に出てみると、苔の上に雪が！！軽井沢は、４月になっても雪が降るということを忘れていました。暖かい日と寒い日を繰り返しながら、新緑の時期を迎えるのです。

It was quite cold this morning and found snow over moss!! I almost forgot that it is common to see snow in April in Karuizawa. Repeating warm day and cold day brings green season.

今年も郵便局の前で人力車が始まっています。旧軽井沢の街の中を元気いっぱいにかけるお兄さんたち。旧軽井沢の街に活気を与えてくれます！

Ricksha man is working in front of Post Office. They cheerfully run in the town and give us energy.

あと１ヶ月でゴールデンウィーク。シーズンに入ると、旧軽銀座の一部が歩行者天国になります。お車でつるや旅館へお越しの際は、聖パウロ教会の前の道をお通りくださいませ。というわけで、迂回路の地図を作りました。ご利用くださいませ。

まだ木々に葉がないので、聖パウロ教会の屋根もよく見えます。特徴のあるこの三角屋根。もうすぐ、木々の葉で隠されてしまいます。

There are no leaves yet and you can see St. Paul's Catholic Church clearly. It will be covered with leaves soon.

つるやの「る」。江戸時代初期に作られた看板に刻まれた文字です。勢いのある整った字です。つるや旅館の玄関にあります。

This is "ru" of "Tsuruya". It was written around 400 years ago. It's definitely something we can't make again.

今日は、いいお天気だったので、頑張って絵を描いてみました！！

。。。。というのは、エイプリルフールの冗談で、写真に編集を重ね、重ねて、絵みたいにしてみました。

春ですね！！
