Tsuruya Ryokan is one of the few ryokan style hotels in Karuizawa. You might have anxiety about staying at ryokan. But, staying at Ryokan is the best way to experience Japanese culture and enjoy the true comforts of Japanese hospitality and service. We have tatami-matted guest rooms and Japanese public baths. The dinner will be Japanese cuisine course. You will sleep on Japanese futon. All of these experience will be your unforgettable memory of your stay at Karuizawa.
　
We are international friendly ryokan. Wi-Fi is available everywhere in the hotel. Our breakfast is buffet style that includes Western meals such as sausage, bacon, bread, jam and yogurt. Our staffs always support your stay.
　
Tsuruya Ryokan is surrounded by elegant holiday villas; a great location from which to enjoy shopping and hiking. It locates on the historic shopping street, and it is 10 minutes driving to Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza, one of the largest outlet malls in Japan. We also have many walking trails. Some guests enjoy Nakasendo walking, Japan’s ancient highways from Kyoto to Tokyo. It is around 6 hours walking from Tsuruya Ryokan to Yokokawa Station.
